Fishing in the Lower Hron
Location
Fishing in South-west Slovakia on the lower course of the river Hron, near the town Levice, 120 km from Bratislava. This great variety of biotopes with its 47 kinds of fish is suitable for many different ways of fishing.
Kind of fish
Sheat-fish (Sillurus glanis), asp (Aspius aspius), pike (Esox lucius), zander (Stizostedion lucioperca), carp (Cyprinus carpio), barbel (Barbus barbus), sneep (Chondrostoma nasus), vimba (Vimba vimba), chub (Leuciscus cephalus), bream (Abramis brama).
Main fishing season
From June till November.
Program and way of fishing
You will be taken by canoe on the first day of your stay in order for you to choose the right spot for fishing also in the other days to come. You may keep the canoe or rowing-boat for that period of time.
We will provide you with fishing bait according to your fishing preferences; it is also possible to take you to a special store for fishing supplies.
